The fifth season

The mountains fifth and absolutely best season is the early spring. The slopes are soft, the sun is warm and the days are long. The temperature allows great outdoor après-ski or late afternoon skiing. The events follow each other, the village bubbles and the atmosphere is on top.

Sorbet snow 

During early spring the afternoons offers fantastic skiing. The sun warms up all the snow and turns into lovely sorbet snow and the whole mountain become playful.

Waffles

There are probably nothing as nice as after some effort, settle down on a sun deck by the slopes or by the cross country track and enjoy well-deserved refreshments. Around the ski system there are plenty of mountain restaurants with large terraces in the best sunny locations. If you choose to ski cross-country there is some given destinations where you can eat your swedish waffles, such as Lillåstugans Våffelbruk in Ullådalen, Bergstugan next to Fröå Gruva or the Vita Renen on Renfjället.

Cross-country

Enjoy the natur, the silence and the magnificent surroundings in your own pace. Åre and it´s vicinity is a mecca for cross-country, here you will find trails for all different degree of difficulty. Après-ski

After a long day in the slopes, it is almost a must to experience Åre's famous après-ski. Enjoy an aprés-ski where the music is pumping, the mood is on top and the ski boots are moving to the beat. Or why not enjoy a relaxing après-ski with your dear ones at one of the restaurants in town and enjoy the sun and the surroundings.
