Fishing at the river Tegeforsen

River Tegeforsen between Åre and Duved is a nice, family-friendly fishing spot where you can fish trout and char from shore. Parking is possible right by the river - either down by the riverside or on the parking space which is around 10-15m from the fishing spot. The ground on the parking space is paved (somewhat uneven), while the ground by the riverside is grassed. The fishing spot is flat, but there is a short slope down from the upper parking space. Pack a lunch and bring the family along for some great fishing!

Millest Moose Farm

At Millest Moose Farm you get to meet tame elks. On a guided tour you get to know more about elks and you can meet the king of the forest up close. Learn why the elk is called the king of the forest and get an insight into its history and what a normal year in the life of an elk is like. If you are brave enough you may even steal a kiss! Legend says this will make you irresistible... If you think you're not up to the task, maybe just give them some treats.

Fröå Gruva

The mine village at Fröå Gruva has since the late 1980s successively been restored to a cultural museum site. Due to the industrial era with active copper mining between 1744-1918 many people lived around the area of Mt Åreskutan, it was in fact the most populated area in the region at that time. There is a calmness around the area of Fröå Gruva with a wonderful view facing Mt Åreskutan and a rich flora and fauna that thrives thanks to the soil rich in minerals. The terrain is mostly flat, at some places somewhat hilly and at the restaurant/café there is an accessible ramp at the entrance.
