Christmas celebration in Åre

For the true christmas feeling, Åre is the place to be. We light up the village 1 December and keep the christmas feeling all the way over christmas. Snow, christmas trees, christmas candles and christmas presents. 

30 November

11:00-15:00 Christmas Fair at Fröå. Flatbread, med försäljning, glogg and gingerbread. Handcraft and entertainment. Small Christmas buffet served at Bergstugan.

1 December

16:00 Christmas lighting. Gathering at Åre town square. We turn on the lights in the christmas tree, Åre church choir, glogg and gingerbread.

7-8 December

11:00-17:00 Opening of the small ice skating rink at Åre town square. Glogg and handcraft at Åre town square. Ice skates can be rented at Stadium at Åre town square.

13 December

09:00-15:00 Snow, test & party at the ski lift VM8:an.
18:00 Lucia celebration with the children's church choir at Duved's church.
19:00 Crowning of the Lucia of Åre 2013 in Åre old church.

14 December

09:00-15:00 Snow, test & party at the ski lift VM8:an.
11:00-17:00 Ice skating, glogg & localy produced food at Åre town square. Ice skates can be rented at Stadium at Åre town square.
16:00 Lucia celebration at Åre town square.

15 December

09:00-14:00 Snow, test & party at the ski lift VM8:an.

11:00-16:00 Duved Christmas Fair Julmarknad with christmas trees, glogg, coffee, localy produced food, handcraft and much more. Santa shows up with candy to the children at 15:00.
16:00 Inauguration ot the swowmen sculptures in Åre park. Jojk by Tanja Nordfjell.

24 December

Åre's own Santa Claus with horse and sled. Dance around the christmas tree with Acke Fahlén. Christmas presents to all children.
